EMS Ltd | Marketing & Business Development Manager | £30-32K | Bristol


 

Summary of the role
Reporting to the managing director, the Marketing & Business Development Manager will be responsible for setting and delivering successful marketing strategies to agreed budget, maintaining close relationships with key customers and leads and for developing and implementing strategic partnerships to compliment and grow EMS’s portfolio of management consultancy services.

 

Responsibilities
The role will be broadly two thirds marketing and one third business development, customer relationship management (CRM) and sales support. Key responsibilities will include:

 

Marketing:

    Direct Marketing campaigns by email/letter

    Implementing web or magazine based advertising and sponsorship

    Web-sites; keeping our web-sites up to date and relevant with regular updates & improvements

    Publicity - managing publications to ensure adequate articles/coverage on EMS

    Events and exhibitions - identification, arrangements, event management, and make sales calls to leads & existing customers

    Marketing materials creation: literature, case studies, articles, news, letters, web content, email content, videos

    Market research: conduct qualified research to enhance marketing & products

CRM/Sales Support/Business Development:

    Build relationships with key customers to support marketing & sales i.e. ref site visits, case studies, interviews, etc

    Up-selling / repeat selling to existing customers & to leads e.g.for Training  courses, Events and exhibitions

    Develop partnerships & associations with complimentary companies and contractors - setting up, admin, marketing strategy, commercial arrangements

    Initial dealing with enquiries, appointment making, following up on enquiries

    Helping with quotes, preparing quotes

Location
Based in our Bristol office although the candidate will be expected to travel to customer sites and other venues monthly

 

Remuneration
£25,000 per annum basic plus uncapped company performance related bonus giving on target salary of £30-£32K in first year
22 days annual holiday allowance

 

Profile of the candidate
A graduate with a professional outlook and at least 5 years experience of Marketing and/or Sales in a business to business environment seeking an influential role in which they can demonstrate initiative and competence and share in the rewards of business growth.

As an admin assistant you will be performing general administrative duties, assisting with companies finance tasks, liasing with customers and suppliers and be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of the company’s database.

Registering and processing training bookings

Business Finance

Maintaining company’s purchase ledger

Registering orders on company’s sales ledger

Raising end of the month invoices

Database Administration

updating existing databases

building new entries

standardising database records

monitor database size and quality on a weekly basis

Contract Manufacturing Consultants Required


circa £425 daily rate + expenses

Job Functions

  • Facilitating training and consultancy programmes at customer sites and other venues.
  • Developing programme materials and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Likely to be graduate or HND in Engineering Discipline
  • Likely to have 10 years experience in maintenance/operations/management in manufacturing environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of continuous improvement techniques ie Reliability Centred Maintenance and Lean
  • Excellent presentation, communications and facilitation skills
  • Must have own car, willing to travel
