Why did you decide to embark on a Lean RCM Programme?
GK Montupet UK: We wanted to get the teams of maintenance and operations working better together, improve our maintenance and increase OEE.
:
Does the programme fit with your existing Maintenance Strategy?
GK Montupet UK: Yes it does. Part of our maintenance strategy is to improve existing maintenance procedures.
:
In your opinion, how has the programme been going so far?
GK Montupet UK: It’s been going really well, we have already seen 10 percent increase in OEE. Also engineering and operations are working together - people from different levels with different backgrounds involved in the programme together.
:
How do you feel about the outputs of the programme today as well as going forward?
GK Montupet UK: We expect further positive outputs and are currently rolling out the programme across different machines and different production lines.
:
Ho did your team respond to the programme?
GK Montupet UK: As with any change there might have been some concern at the start, people don’t like changes with no benefit, but in this case when things change with the benefit people are generally happy. Everybody is involved so no, no problem there.
:
Why did you choose to work with EMS on this project?
GK Montupet UK: EMS had the tools that fit with what we were looking to do. With the lean reliability aspect this is better than just pure RCM.
