RCM MasterClass Forum 2009

About the Forum

Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) was established for the aircraft industry in the late 1970’s and has been central to making this form of travel many orders of magnitude more reliable and safer than travel by any other form of transport.  It is fitting therefore that this event is being staged in RAF Cosford Aircraft Museum, home to Britain's national aviation heritage.

The RCM MasterClass Forum 2009 is your opportunity to learn how this technique is being applied in industry to drive high process reliability and reduce waste. Combining case studies from major manufacturers; HJ Heinz and Aunt Bessie’s, speakers with proven track records in delivering reliability, a networking opportunity and a chance to learn about maintenance in the RAF this event promises to deliver an interesting and valuable day which may well be the catalyst for your own company’s improvement programme.

Guest Speakers

HJ Heinz Wigan

MF Continuous Improvement Facilitator, PH Operations Manager
The HJ Heinz site in Wigan is one of Europe’s largest and most advanced food manufacturing plants and is used for the production of baked beans, soups and pasta operating twenty-four hours per day, five days per week. This site is already engaged in a number of manufacturing excellence programmes and has setup teams and facilitators to deliver the change programmes. The RCM Masterclass programme completes the portfolio of improvement techniques and programmes in that it offers solutions to reliability, introduces ‘Lean’ concepts to maintenance implementation and engages the workforce in autonomous maintenance activities and equipment ownership.

Aunt Bessie's Hull

GB Engineering Manager, LT Engineering Team Leader
Aunt Bessie’s is part of the William Jackson Food Group, a long established family business with five main operating companies. There are two Aunt Bessie’s sites located together in Hull operating twenty-four hours per day, five days per week and producing a range of meals, recipe dishes, puddings and components. Aunt Bessie’s brand is now the fastest growing brand within UK frozen foods.

RCM fits with the site’s strategy of putting in place a maintenance plan which gives inherent reliability on the key lines and takes into account the business operating regime and seasonality
